Meeting the Bloggers Behind the Blogfest

You've all heard plenty about this upcoming blogfest, about how much fun it's going to be, how much it'll challenge your creative writing, how super-awesome the prizes are…but one thing we haven't touched on, is the introduction of the organising team — hey, we deserve a bit of credit, don't we?

So here you are, the bloggers behind the blogfest:

Damyanti Biswas is a freelance writer living in Singapore. For those who have not read any of her work, I highly recommend her debut collection of short stories, A to Z Stories of Life and Death. If you like short, punchy stories that are not afraid to reveal the human condition in all its stark reality, yet with endings that offer glimmers of hope, then this book is for you!

Damyanti was the one who invited me to join in co-hosting the blogfest. As a long time fan of her writing (and I absolutely loved her contribution to Stories for Sendai!), I was happy to jump on board! She was the one in charge of writing and re-writing the Rule of Three Blogfest's rules and regulations (which you'll see on all our sites) until the document absolutely sparkled!

The blogfest will be hosted Damyanti's Amlokiblogs. She also has a second blog, Daily (w)rites.

Read more about her HERE in an interview by fellow organiser Stuart Nager.

Lisa Vooght was born and raised in South-central Pennsylvannia, USA. She currently works in the field of special education, and writes flash fiction and short stories in her spare time. Her blog Flash Fiction is devoted to the art of writing the short story.

Lisa spent hours creating the "Featured Authors" page, where we acknowledge all the authors who have generously donated their work to the prize pot.

In his own words, Stuart Nager is "a creative individual with many areas of passion". He works as a Professional Storyteller, NYS Certified Drama Specialist/Educator, Professional Development Coordinator & Facilitator, Workshop Leader, Arts-in-Education Advocate, Puppeteer, Playwright, Director, Teaching Artist, Curriculum Writer…phew with all these commitments, I'm amazed he still had time to join us in organising this blogfest!

Stuart is the brainchild behind our YouTube video teaser trailer. He has also been interviewing fellow organisers and featuring them on his blog. Stuart is also kindly donating an e-book copy of Dawn of Indie Romance, an anthology featuring one of his short stories, to the blogfest prize pack.

Stuart will be hosting the Rule of Three Blogfest on his blog, Tale Spinning. He also has a second blog, bornstoryteller. To find out more about him, click HERE.

Portia Burton is a talented poet and artist who lives in London. Just look at the gorgeous badge she created for our blogfest! Isn't it beautiful?

Portia blogs at Portia's World, and she too has been subjected to Stuart's interrogation. Click HERE for the interview.

J.C. Martin is, well…me! Since most of you are probably sick of hearing about me by now, suffice it to say that I was the latecomer to the organising party, and my role was paltry in comparison to all the work put in by everyone else! I had to use my very basic HTML knowledge to write a grab code for the our blogfest badge, as well as to set up the linky list. As mentioned before, I was also interviewed by Stuart. You can read about it HERE.
